Will the system prevent skin diseases like cancer, dermatitis and eczema?
We have many testimonials to the effectiveness of the Kiwipure system in greatly reducing irritable skin conditions caused by eczema, dermatitis and allergies. Cancer is a whole new area and has yet to be proven, but because of the excellent results we have seen with eczema and dermatitis we believe the risk of melanoma due to skin cell damage will be reduced.
To date we have only had very positive results with skin diseases and no neutral or negative results from any one of our many happy customers.
Is the Kiwipure system expensive to buy and maintain?
In a word 'No', but most people find the initial cost a hurdle, yet when they balance it out over say 24 months many discover they have recovered the cost out of savings as a direct result of having the system. Also the running costs of the Kiwipure wholehouse system are very similar to an underbench filter that supplies drinking water only.
How much does it cost?
Our Systems are priced to be very competitive for what they achieve. We are not only filtering out chlorine, heavy metals and some giardia etc., but we also have an ionizer that, coupled with the overall system, has been proven to reduce scale build up. Our systems overall configuration also has been shown to reduce eczema, dermatitis and skin irritations.

What is the warranty and does Kiwipure stand behind their products?
Our Wholehouse RTS-1020 System has a 24 month warranty on the Filter Housings and components against manufacturers defects or failure, but not including the Filter cartridges or normal wear and tear. The Ionizer has a 20 year warranty (Conditions apply)
We believe our products represent the best value in a comprehensive approach to total home water treatment. If our customers are unhappy with the results we will take the system back and credit the cost of the item less any freight or labour costs.
What are the benefits of having a Kiwipure system compared to other products?
The Kiwipure system utilises a scientifically proven Ionizer that is chemical and electricity free along with GAC/KDF media and 1micron Sediment filtration. This overall configuration has been shown to dramatically reduce eczema and other skin conditions as well as softening the water which greatly enhances cleaning and reduces lime scale build-up in pipes and appliances. This all at 50% or less of the price of similar systems.
How does the system work?
The system employs well known methods for removing toxins, sediment and heavy metals via a system of filters that are very efficient and ecconomic. It simply takes out the 'junk' that you don't need and certainly don't want in your water! Added to this basic function is our unique (NZ Designed) 'Ionizer' unit. Employing the most powerful rare earth magnets in the world, a principle proven in Shinshu University, Japan October 2005, to successfully treat the compounds contained within water to alter their physical properties. Our ionizer design is, we believe, a world first and has been shown to remove existing scale in pipes, preventing further buildup, while softening water to save on soaps and cleaning.
Does it remove all the chlorine and Heavy metals?
Almost, the GAC/KDF filter unit will remove up to 98% of the Chlorine, THM's and other nasty by-products of chlorine sterilization. It also removes many heavy metals and compounds eg. nitrates, nitrites, silver, aluminum, arsenic, cadmium, copper, iron, nickel, zinc, lead, chromium, barium, hydrogen sulfide, radon and selenium. Another important aspect of KDF is it increases the lifespan by three or more times that of normal Carbon filters, making it very good value as it only costs about 20% more.
Does it remove fluoride?
Fluoride is very difficult to remove despite some companies claiming to remove > 50% with a standard carbon filter at normal flow rates. We do not claim to remove fluoride, however our system will remove more fluoride than comparable products because we use GAC/KDF filter media. NB. Using hazardous substances like aluminium and bone char carbon arguably pose a greater risk than the fluoride. Refer to Health Issues
How soon can I have one delivered?
We normally have them in stock and can deliver them (parcel-post freight included) to anywhere in NZ within a few days of receiving your payment. International deliveries usually take a few weeks and there is of course additional freight charges.
What's the cost to install a Kiwipure system on my home?
Our standard RTS-1020 system is ready to go and includes two stainless steel 90 degree bends for ease of installation in most situations. Providing your mains water pipe is readily accessible and your home is in the urban area then most plumbers will install the system for approximately $450.00 including the valves and miscellaneous materials. NB The system should be installed by a registered plumber to comply with local bylaws.
